After much soul searching, I withdrew from my MPhil course in December 2009 without completing.
I had spent much of the previous year on medical leave from my studies due to an RSI injury, which I am still struggling with.
Despite withdrawing, I feel that I learned a lot during my time as an external post graduate student at the ANU and the experience was a very rewarding one.
I remain extremely grateful to all the ceramics staff at the ANU School of Art and Glasgow School of Art, especially Janet DeBoos, Greg Daly, Anne Brennan, Patsy Hely, Archie McCall, Bill Brown and Wendy Kershaw for their enduring support.
While I was studying, I kept meticulous records of my work and processes, most of them online, so they were available to my teachers and fellow students, who were on the other side of the globe. These albums are available to view below.
They also include images of work by the artists who were my teachers and mentors during this time, as well as by some of the students who I studied along side of.
